Consistency is Key in Reaching Success

“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives.  It’s what we do consistently.”—Anthony Robbins

Consistency might seem like a boring word.  However Consistency is key in reaching success in anything that you do.

Consistency is Key in Reaching Your Goals

Develop attainable goals and work towards them consistently.  Every day do at least one thing that will bring you closer to attaining your goals.  Working consistently towards goals forms a habit.  Habitual activity directed at accomplishing your goals builds momentum.

Consistency is Key to Forming Healthy Habits

Consistently completing productive actions every day leads to habits.  These habits of productive actions lead to success.

“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.”—Napolean Hill

Changing your behavior is usually not easy, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.  Initially you will find that your brain gives you a lot of resistance because it is not used to being used in the new way.  You will find, however, that the more you complete these new actions the more your brain will begin to acclimate to your new behaviors.  As time goes on, those new habits will create momentum and the new actions that you have set into place will begin to be completed with barely any effort at all.

Consistency is Key in Forming Personal Success

All relationships are maintained by consistency.  This is true whether the consistency is care, love, friendship or hate.  When you are in a relationship you expect that the other party will be consistent in the human emotion that binds you in that relationship.  If the relationship is a love affair then you expect that the person would consistently be loving throughout the whole relationship.

Yes, it’s true that consistency is key in personal relationships, however, it is also important in professional relationships.  If you do not deliver a consistent good effort at work chances are you would not be very successful.  If you want to make it into a top managerial position or reach the top as an entrepreneur you have to consistently display good work ethics.

Conclusion

It is all too easy to relax after you have launched that new blog and have started getting traffic, landed that new job or started that new business and have gotten your first client.  But that is a mistake that too many people make.  In order to reach success you have to consistently give the same effort and enthusiasm that you gave in the beginning of your venture.  People reward your consistent good efforts by staying in a relationship with you, promoting you, giving you favorable performance rewards or continuing to do business with you.
